Terms of Service

By using challengeplanner.app or the Challenge Planner Chrome extension, you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable, not bulletproof; if a term is ambiguous, the plain-English reading wins.

The service

"Challenge Planner" refers to (a) the Chrome extension that hides completed Path of Exile challenges and recommends what to map next using AI, and (b) this website at challengeplanner.app, including any future hosted version of the planning service.

Use at your own risk

The service is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of the AI-generated plans, or compatibility with any specific Path of Exile league or patch. We are not responsible for in-game decisions you make based on a plan, time spent on a recommendation that did not pan out, or any other consequence of using the tool.

The AI plans are recommendations, not guarantees. Use your own judgment.

Anthropic API costs

The current "bring your own API key" version of the extension makes calls to the Anthropic API using your API key. You are solely responsible for any charges Anthropic bills to your account, including charges resulting from bugs in the extension, accidental repeated requests, or unexpected token usage. We recommend monitoring your usage at console.anthropic.com.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• Use the extension or service for anything other than its intended purpose (planning your own Path of Exile challenges).
• Attempt to abuse, overload, or attack the website, signup endpoint, or future hosted backend.
• Resell, repackage, or commercially distribute the extension. The source code is licensed under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 — you can use, modify, and share it for any non-commercial purpose, but not sell it.
• Misrepresent the extension as being affiliated with or endorsed by Grinding Gear Games.

We can refuse service

We reserve the right to refuse service, block IP addresses, or terminate accounts (when the hosted version exists) at our discretion — typically only for abuse, but ultimately we get to decide.

Changes to these terms

We can update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

Challenge Planner is an independent, fan-made tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Grinding Gear Games. Path of Exile is a trademark of Grinding Gear Games.
